If you have problems with quiet time as well, here are some solutions. By Care Baldwin

When I was asked to submit something for the January issue, I thought about what I would find helpful for the New Year. It seems like every few months I have to remind myself to be more disciplined with my devotional time. It’s easy for me to listen to a pastor on a Podcast while I’m driving or to read a book on leadership but to set time aside in the morning just doesn’t seem to work. I even wake up earlier than my husband (we carpool to work together) but end up filling my time doing things around the house. Please tell me I’m not alone in this?!!

There have been a few apps/devotionals that have helped keep me on track for spurts of time:

“Experiencing God Day-by-Day” dailyprayer_pg2-daybyday
First5 mobile app (from Proverbs 31 Ministries)
Various reading plans via YouVersion dailyprayer_pg2-youversion

If you have problems with quiet time as well, here are some solutions…

As referenced in the article, I’m going to try something new this year.
They say it takes 21 days to make a habit, so join me in making a new habit in the first 40 days of 2017! Sign up here (free) for “The 40 Days of Prayer” from Lifeway.com.

Happy New Year!

    Hi Care,
I find the YouVersion reading plans work really well for me and would like to encourage others to give it a try too. If you “friend” other through the app, they can also be an encouragement to you.
    Blessed 2017!
